The SHSP COP is the first of its kind, online community for SHSP practitioners in State Departments of Transportation and Highway Safety Offices, as well as other public and private stakeholders who contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the SHSP.

The votes are in, and we have the unofficial results for the 2017 dues increase motion presented at the 2015 summer meeting: 51 centers submitted ballots, with 44 voting “yes” for a dues increase and 7 “no” votes. 33 centers voted for a $250 increase, and 18 voted for a $125 increase. The official, audited results will be presented at the winter business meeting, but we don’t expect that Florida’s vote will be a game changer in this election. Thank you for your participation!

If you have never read your newsletter, then today is the day that you should make an exception! As you will see in this issue of the NLTAPA newsletter, we have a very important election going on: Beginning with last January’s NLTAPA business meeting, the membership began discussing a possible dues increase and/or change in operations to meet the financial obligations of our association, and as a result of these discussions, the Association membership voted to consider an annual dues increase.

“3.2.1 Dues Amount and Term: All LTAP and TTAP Center Members shall contribute annual calendar-year dues to support the activities of NLTAPA. The amount of the dues assessment shall be ratified by affirmative vote of a majority of Active Center Members. [Annual Center Member dues as of the date of ratification of these bylaws are $500.00.] The EC may establish dues for affiliate members.”
